COLORS offers volunteers several exciting and resume-bolstering opportunities for those interested in language teaching and language research.
The English Practice-teaching Lab
Become a English-language student-teacher and train in our mentored, practice-teaching lab. This authentic, guided, practice-teaching experience can also strengthen your resume and enhance your competitiveness for getting a job teaching English in the US and overseas.
All lesson content is provided to you, and each lesson is supported by a lesson preview session conducted live/online (and also video-recorded for later referencing). A teaching coach is with you before/during/after your teaching to share teaching tips/strategies, answer all your questions, and develop your own teaching persona.

Become Part of a Research Team
COLORS aims to provide undergraduates and graduates with hands-on, language-research experiences by engaging them in reviews of literature, research designing, data analysis, and data interpretation.
The student-research team meets weekly to discuss the projects currently underway and exchange ideas. The goal is for each student-researcher to ultimately contribute to a publishable research article.
